It can be affirmed that the most prominent mark of Quang Tri in the innovation process is promoting the development of agricultural economy , from severe food shortage to rice export, from contracting mechanisms to applying circular agriculture, sustainable development in the direction of "ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers". Currently, in the province, high-quality rice production reaches over 80% of the cultivated area, the area of ​​large-field rice production is estimated at 13,000 hectares.

In addition, the area of ​​crops grown according to standards reached more than 1,200 hectares, of which 237.5 hectares were certified according to organic standards; 10 hectares were certified for organic conversion; 597 hectares were organic; 129.5 hectares were naturally cultivated rice; 119.9 hectares were VietGap; 149.92 hectares were food safe. The area of ​​production and product consumption linkage reached over 1,780 hectares of rice and hundreds of hectares of other crops. In 2024, rice productivity and output reached 61.6 quintals/hectare, the highest ever.

An important and noteworthy achievement is that Quang Tri province has prioritized the construction of infrastructure systems, completed a number of key, dynamic projects with spillover effects, and promoted socio-economic development, especially important traffic works, connecting economic zones, industrial parks, and international border gates to exploit the potential and advantages of the locality.

In July 1989, the whole province had only 750.9 km of roads, including: 262 km of national highways (National Highway 1 through the province is 75 km long, National Highway 9 is 84 km long, National Highway 14 is 60 km long, National Highway 15 is 43 km long); 130.5 km of provincial roads with 8 routes and 358.4 km of district roads, there are still 15 communes without car roads to the center...

Up to now, the road traffic system in the whole province has reached more than 8,739 km. All communes have car roads connecting to the district center. Some large bridges have been built such as: Cua Viet, Cua Tung, Hien Luong, Thach Han, Dai Loc, An Mo, Thanh Co, Trieu Phuoc, Lai Phuoc, Song Hieu, Cam Hieu, Dakrong suspension bridge, La La bridge, Hieu river suspension bridge...; besides, some strategic routes have been newly built, such as Cam Lo - La Son expressway; Dong Ha city bypass, Quang Tri town; the axis road along the Southeast Economic Zone, the road connecting Ho Chi Minh road, East branch with Ho Chi Minh road, West branch...

Currently, Quang Tri is a major construction site and attracting investment in key projects to turn this land into a regional and international logistics center such as: My Thuy Port Project; Quang Tri Airport; Coastal Road connecting the East-West Economic Corridor; Quang Tri Industrial Park; VSICO Dry Port; CFG Nam Cua Viet Port and the project to build a conveyor system to transport coal from Laos to Vietnam...

In an effort to exploit the strengths of the West, in 1998, Quang Tri province proactively participated in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Cooperation Program. Focusing on innovation and improving the environment to attract investment in building infrastructure, especially connecting transport infrastructure, to exploit the advantages of Vietnam's bridgehead province on the East-West Economic Corridor connecting with Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar.

In parallel with promoting the advantages of the East-West Economic Corridor, Quang Tri province proactively coordinated with Salavan, Champasak (Laos), Ubon Ratchathani (Thailand) provinces to propose that the governments of the countries agree to the policy of implementing the PARA EWEC Corridor. In 2024, the import-export turnover through the two international border gates of Lao Bao and La Lay will reach nearly 1 billion USD.

Of which, at Lao Bao International Border Gate, import-export turnover reached 645.77 million USD, up 45.87%; the weight of import-export goods reached 1.18 million tons. At La Lay International Border Gate, import-export turnover reached 250 million USD, the total volume of goods reached 2.26 million tons. This shows the important role of traffic connection in promoting international trade and regional linkage to promote economic development of Quang Tri province.

50 years after the country's reunification, an action that moved many people in the country and international friends, joined hands, and spread a humane message with profound influence, that is, Vietnam's efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing for the poor. The program "Warm home for my compatriots" was organized to demonstrate the superiority of our regime in mobilizing resources to care for the poor and disadvantaged in society.

The program also mobilizes additional resources from businesses, agencies, organizations, groups, philanthropists, people from all walks of life in the country, and overseas Vietnamese to join hands to support poor households and households with housing difficulties, quickly completing the goal of eliminating all temporary and dilapidated houses for people, especially people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, and islands, so that all people can live in "3 hard" houses (hard roof, hard floor, and hard walls).

To successfully implement the set goals from now until the end of 2025, Party committees, Party organizations, and local authorities focus on leading and directing the mobilization and effective management of resources to achieve the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households; at the same time, synchronously deploy solutions to support people with jobs, jobs, and livelihoods, not only to escape poverty but also to have a more prosperous and fulfilling life.

The whole Quang Tri province strives to build more than 3,150 new houses for poor households and households with revolutionary contributions. Along with that, the fields of education-training, culture, sports, tourism, people's health care, social security and welfare policies, care for policy families, poor households, and ethnic minorities are fully and promptly implemented. Foreign affairs are maintained and developed. National defense and security are maintained, social order and safety are ensured, creating a favorable environment to attract investment and promote socio-economic development.

Currently, along with the whole country, Quang Tri has grown strongly, the appearance of urban and rural areas is increasingly prosperous, the income and life of people in the province are increasingly improved. Implementing the Party's policies and guidelines on innovation, arrangement, streamlining the organizational apparatus, building a lean-strong-efficient-effective-effective political system, the land of Quang Tri will continue to grow together with the whole country with the baggage from the glorious historical tradition and the proud achievements of the renovation process...
