Many exciting activities of the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival 2024 (abbreviated as HIFF) took place on the first day at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Lam Son Park - Le Loi Street (District 1). Many performances with strong cultural identities from North to South were opened but performed through transparent veils. Only when the cultural colors of Ho Chi Minh City appeared was the veil pulled up to light up the stage.

These dense activities have helped Ho Chi Minh City for the first time truly "live" in the festive atmosphere of an international film festival.
