On the evening of July 5, in Vi Tan ward, Can Tho city, the opening ceremony of the 6th Vietcombank Mekong Delta Marathon International Marathon 2025 took place.
Mr. Tran Van Huyen (middle), Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, presented flowers to two sponsors, Vietcombank and Hau Giang Lottery Company Limited.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - said that after 5 successful seasons in Hau Giang province with an increasing number of athletes and increasingly improved quality, the stature and significance of the tournament has been affirmed both domestically and internationally.

The race is both a playground, a motivation, and a source of inspiration for all classes of people from urban to rural areas, of all ages to participate in running, continuing to respond to the mass movement to exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho.
This year's race attracted 5,000 runners with 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. The race will officially take place on the morning of July 6.
