Ninh Binh: Supporting women to start businesses

Starting a business is one of the solutions to help women develop their economy , create jobs, improve their lives, and gradually enhance their role and position.

In 2024, the whole Ninh Binh province will have nearly 300 women starting and successfully starting businesses. From many innovative and creative start-up ideas, the Women's Union at all levels has coordinated and supported the establishment of 8 new cooperatives, 1 cooperative managed by women, typically: "Thinh Vuong Non La" Cooperative (Gia Vien), Cuc Phuong Forest Herbs Cooperative (Nho Quan), Ninh Giang Sewing Cooperative (Hoa Lu city), ...

Activities to support women in starting a business are also linked to the province's OCOP program with many highly appreciated products and commodities. In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels will develop 19 OCOP products, of which 3 products will be recognized as 3-star OCOP.

The implementation of start-up and business start-up activities is specified by the Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union, focusing on the project "Supporting women to start a business in the period 2017-2025" (Project 939). The Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union directs grassroots organizations to proactively develop plans to integrate effectively into annual activities, programs and movements based on the actual situation.

In particular, focusing on promoting the movements "Women help each other develop family economy", "Women's groups link to develop economy". At the same time, supporting women to borrow capital through effectively exploiting preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank and women's support funds of the Association.

To help women members become more and more courageous, confident, and shine in all fields, especially in the field of household and collective economic development, in the coming time, the Women's Union at all levels in Ninh Binh province will continue to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization of women members to strive to escape poverty; encourage creative start-up ideas, apply science and technology; support women to start businesses so that the start-up movement among women members will spread more and more widely.
