The Lao National Stadium (SL) was built about 17 km from the center of Vientiane in 2009, the year the country hosted the 25th SEA Games. The stadium has a capacity of about 25,000 seats. The 4 semi-finalists will participate in the final round, where the women's teams of Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines are waiting. In addition, in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, the Lao National Stadium was chosen as the home ground of the North Korean team for many sensitive reasons. That shows that the quality of the Lao National Stadium has now met AFC standards.
At the AFF Cup 2024, the Vietnamese team will have their opening match in the group stage against Laos on away ground. The audience expects the Vietnamese team to play well and win to have a favorable start for the journey to regain the AFF Cup 2024 throne. This match will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 9.
