Farmers in Thanh Ha district (Hai Duong) have harvested about 28,000 tons of lychee. The main lychee season is in full swing until the end of June.

According to Thanh Ha District People's Committee, by June 18, the whole district had harvested about 28,000 tons of lychee.

This year, Thanh Ha lychee output reached about 38,000 tons, the best harvest in the past 3 years, of which there were more than 20,000 tons of early lychee, the rest were main-season lychee. The remaining lychee will be harvested concentratedly in late June and early July. This year, early lychee teas sold at an average price of 40,000 VND/kg, main-season lychee sold at an average price of 25,000 VND/kg.

According to the district’s professional agencies, the harvest time is short but lychees are consumed quickly, especially in the gift segment. Thanh Ha lychees are consumed strongly in the Go supermarket system and clean agricultural product chains nationwide.

This year, large enterprises such as Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company; Red Dragon Production, Trade and Service Company Limited exported thousands of tons of Thanh Ha lychee to markets in countries such as the US, Japan, Korea, and the Middle East. Many small enterprises in the district, neighboring localities, and Hai Phong City also came to buy more lychee than last year.
