People's Artist Thanh Hoa: 'Dinh Hien Anh is stubborn and reckless'

Since 2017, Dinh Hien Anh has returned to the Vietnamese music scene through 5 studio albums: E ap, Me Viet Nam, Trang buon, Co gai song Lam and Tinh khuc . In 2023, the female singer also released the MV Hat van Quan Hoang Muoi .

By 2024, the female singer decided to launch a new music project with 2 studio CDs called Loi ca dat nuoc and Dong chuoi mien thuong nho . This project surprised many people because Dinh Hien Anh is a singer who pursues light music, "switching" to contemporary folk music is not easy.

People's Artist Thanh Hoa commented that Dinh Hien Anh was bold in performing contemporary folk music.

Attending the launch of Dinh Hien Anh's new music project, People's Artist Thanh Hoa commented that this was both a bold and stubborn move by the female singer Dinh.

The female artist admitted that she had oriented her student towards light music, but Dinh Hien Anh did not listen because of her great love for contemporary folk music: "Dinh Hien Anh is my student, but she is very stubborn.

Although I oriented her to light music because she sings very well. But she said that she is a girl from Nghe An, she loves her hometown very much and wants to pursue music that has the sound of her hometown, which are songs with folk sounds. That is Dinh Hien Anh's boldness."

People's Artist Thanh Hoa said that although she directly instructed and guided Dinh Hien Anh on how to sing, she was still very worried about this step of the female singer: "Even though I don't sing myself, when I hear her sing, my legs still tremble because I'm very worried."

However, when listening to Dinh Hien Anh perform at the CD launch, the female artist was very satisfied with her student's voice and change of direction.

As the owner of the project, Dinh Hien Anh said she encountered many difficulties when releasing these 2 CDs. In particular, when she started recording for the 2 CDs, the female singer had to face a great loss when her father passed away. The incident made the female singer unstable and emotionally lost for a long time.

It took Dinh Hien Anh 4 years to complete 2 new CDs.

Thanks to the encouragement of People's Artist Thanh Hoa, Dinh Hien Anh was able to regain her emotions to continue working on the project: "When he was alive, my father was like a solid support for me. He always sat in the audience every time his daughter performed, and was the first audience to listen to her music products.

It was a long time after he passed away that I was able to calm down again. This music project is a gift I want to give him, because all the selected works in the project are his favorite songs that he often listened to when he was alive.

The two CDs Loi ca dat nuoc and Dong chuoi mien thuong nho were released in physical disc, USB and digital music platforms. All proceeds from CD and USB sales and from digital music sites will be used by Dinh Hien Anh for charity.
