Confirming the sad news that happened on April 3, the 44-year-old singer shared on her personal page : "I knew I had a miscarriage. I felt it the night before the performance. If this had been my first failure, or even my husband's second, I probably wouldn't have been able to continue. But unfortunately, I'm no stranger to the pain and emptiness of losing a pregnancy."

Benanti - who hosts the show on the ship and performs with her eldest daughter Ella - said she and her husband, Patrick Brown, have held hands through the pain of multiple miscarriages in the past.
The singer expressed gratitude to those who helped her during her most recent miscarriage, especially the show's producers who supported her throughout the tragic experience.
Although it is unclear how long Benanti was pregnant, she shared a touching message to her unborn child: "Thank you little soul for choosing me as your home, even for a short time."
