20-year-old female student becomes champion of 'Coin Universe 2025', receives 1 billion VND prize

The final round of the financial education competition 'The Moneyverse 2025' recently took place in Hanoi with the participation of more than 1,000 students cheering live.

As a result, Pham Thi Mai Huong - a student at Vietnam Maritime University - became the champion of Coin Universe season 2 and received a prize worth 1 billion VND and a career opportunity at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ).

Entering its second season, the program continues to receive great attention from students, attracting nearly 250,000 followers on social networks, more than 130 million multi-platform reach and more than 300 million video views.

Money Universe 2025 is produced by VTV Times in collaboration with Moneyverse with the support of the State Bank, General Department of Taxation, State Securities Commission, Ministry of Education and Training .

In 2025, the theme of the contest is "Digital Galaxy", associated with the digital transformation trend and the orientation of Digital Universal Education.

The six finalists come from universities in three regions, including Vietnam Maritime University, Hanoi Architectural University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Academy of Finance, and University of Commerce.

The final match was designed in the "escape room" model. (a type of escape game) consists of 5 challenging rooms about earning, spending, saving, investing and financial preservation.

The rounds require contestants to handle situations, build strategies and react quickly. A new feature this year is the appearance of Multi-Agent AI judges. This is also the first time artificial intelligence has participated in judging a financial game show on television in Vietnam.

The 2025 finals also featured additional challenges such as a debate with the top 3 of season 1 and an interaction with businessman Phan Minh Tam, Chairman of STI Holdings Group.

In the final round, when both contestants failed to solve the question about the concept of “ blockchain protocol” , the organizers were forced to use a supplementary question. Here, Pham Thi Mai Huong won with a difference of 1 point.

As a result, Mai Huong won the championship title and many "huge" prizes, including 1 billion VND, a job opportunity at BIDV and many valuable scholarships...
