According to the General Statistics Office, total state budget expenditure in the first 15 days of January 2024 is estimated at VND 46,400 billion, equal to 2.2% of the annual estimate.

Reporting on the socio-economic situation in January 2024, the General Statistics Office said that in the first 15 days of January 2024, production and business activities had not yet reached the tax declaration and payment period, so the estimated state budget revenue reached 2.6% of the annual estimate.

State budget expenditures promptly meet the spending needs for the operation of the State apparatus, promptly pay salaries and pensions, and effectively implement social security policies so that people can celebrate Tet with peace of mind.

Regarding state budget revenue, the first 15 days of January 2024 is estimated at 43.7 trillion VND, equal to 2.6% of the annual estimate.

Specifically, domestic revenue reached VND30,600 billion, equal to 2.1% of the annual estimate. Of which, revenue from the state-owned enterprise sector reached VND995 billion, equal to 0.6%; revenue from foreign-invested enterprises (excluding crude oil) VND3,719 billion, equal to 1.6%; revenue from non-state industrial, commercial and service taxes VND6,560 billion, equal to 2%; revenue from personal income tax VND2,686 billion, equal to 1.7%; revenue from environmental protection tax VND309 billion, equal to 0.8%; revenue from land use fees VND7,417 billion, equal to 3.3%.

Revenue from crude oil reached VND2,404 billion, equal to 5.2% of the year's estimate. Budget revenue from import-export activities reached VND10,600 billion, equal to 5.2% of the year's estimate.

Regarding state budget expenditure, total state budget expenditure in the first 15 days of January 2024 is estimated at VND 46,400 billion, equal to 2.2% of the annual estimate. Including: Regular expenditure reached VND 28,200 billion, equal to 2.2%; development investment expenditure VND 5,900 billion, equal to 0.9%; debt interest payment VND 12,300 billion, equal to 11.1%.
