On the morning of November 20, in Hanoi, the Central External Relations Commission held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on the transfer, assignment, and appointment of Party Central Committee member and Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Manh Cuong to the position of Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission.
At the Conference, Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung presented the Politburo's decision to transfer, assign and appoint Party Central Committee member and Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Manh Cuong to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission.
Speaking at the Conference, Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung announced that, based on the advice of the Central Organization Commission and relevant agencies, based on the Party's regulations on personnel work, considering the requirements of tasks and the qualities and capacities of cadres, the Politburo has considered and decided to transfer, assign and appoint Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong is an experienced, capable and professionally qualified cadre with more than 20 years of working in the field of foreign affairs and diplomacy, having held many leadership and management positions; holding the position of Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission (since January 2018), participating in the 13th Central Committee, being mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and holding the position of Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term (from July 2021) and now returning to work as Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission.
During his time working in Binh Phuoc province, as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, together with the Party Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, led and directed the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, achieving many important results. Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong was assessed by the province as an exemplary cadre, highly responsible for his work, always inquisitive, creative, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, flexible in performing assigned tasks; scientific and democratic working methods, with many innovations and breakthroughs, strictly following the proposed work program, ensuring compliance with the Party's principles, policies and laws of the State.
Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung believes that with his qualities, capacity, extensive experience and prestige, when returning to work at the Central External Relations Commission, Deputy Head Nguyen Manh Cuong will, together with the Commission's leadership, cadres and civil servants, successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat.
Speaking at the Conference, the new Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his joy and emotion at being assigned and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission, where he used to work.
Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission Nguyen Manh Cuong is aware that this is both an honor and a great responsibility and will strive with the leadership of the Central External Relations Commission and all cadres and civil servants of the agency to promote the tradition of solidarity and strive to successfully complete assigned tasks.
The Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission respectfully thanks the comrades in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee for their trust, sharing, help and companionship over the past 3 years; and conveys his deep gratitude to all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and people of Binh Phuoc province for their good feelings towards him during his time working in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, born on October 30, 1973; hometown Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province; professional qualification: PhD in economics; advanced political theory qualification.
During his working career, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong has held the following positions: Deputy Director, Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Diplomacy Studies, Director of the Center for Training and Fostering Foreign Affairs Cadres, Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Director of the Department of General Research, Central Foreign Affairs Commission; Deputy Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission... From June 24, 2020, he was Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission; a member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc, term 2020 - 2025 from October 28, 2020.
At the 13th National Congress of the Party, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
From July 2021 until being transferred, assigned, and appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission (November 2024), Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong was Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee.
