Mr. Nguyen Van Nen: Need a leader ready to take strong action

(Dan Tri) - Speaking at the 1st Dak Lak Party Congress, Nguyen Van Nen, Standing Member of the Party's 14th Congress Document Subcommittee, emphasized that Dak Lak has many advantages and needs a leader who is ready to act.

On September 30, the 1st Congress of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 officially opened.

Speaking at the Dak Lak Provincial Party Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen praised the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province for the achievements gained in the past term.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, the first Dak Lak Provincial Party Congress after the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen is an important historical milestone, bringing Dak Lak and the whole country into a new period of development.

The Standing Committee of the 14th Party Congress Document Subcommittee said that with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the documents presented at the congress closely followed the orientation and set out tasks, goals and solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that Dak Lak province has many potentials and outstanding advantages in terms of economy , culture and society. The province has an important strategy in terms of national defense and security, and has the conditions to develop an open economy and international integration.

To promote the province's strengths, Mr. Nen said that it is necessary to focus on re-evaluating and exploiting potential for development; focusing on developing traffic infrastructure and connecting urban infrastructure.

According to Mr. Nen, the action program in Dak Lak's congress when implementing needs to pay attention to solutions to carry out key, breakthrough, and strategic tasks to carry out economic restructuring towards innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation.

Dak Lak must prioritize promoting science and technology and digital transformation in all fields, especially agricultural processing, tourism, logistics, and ecological agriculture.

Mr. Nen requested Dak Lak province to deeply understand the viewpoint of developing culture and society in sync with the economy; fundamentally, comprehensively and effectively innovate education and training, and take care of the physical and intellectual development of the young generation.

Localities need to mobilize resources to strengthen grassroots healthcare, develop community healthcare, pay attention to effectively implementing the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction, associated with new rural construction; stabilize and develop the lives of ethnic minorities, strengthen national solidarity, protect national sovereignty and security and prevent cross-border crimes.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee must strongly innovate personnel work, pay attention to personnel policies, and meet the requirements in building a leadership and management team.

"Each official must not only be good at performing their duties, but also be creative, dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility, not only do the right thing but also do it well. Local authorities must also be close to the people, listen, dialogue, and accompany the people and businesses," Mr. Nen noted.

Mr. Nen pointed out: "Dak Lak province has all the right conditions: favorable time, favorable location, and favorable people; the province has majestic nature, unique culture, and resilient people.

What we need is a political system, first of all an Executive Committee, a Standing Committee, and a leader who meets the requirements and is ready to act strongly, innovate continuously and unceasingly."

Mr. Nguyen Van Nen believes that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition of self-reliance, dynamism, creativity, proactively seize opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the set goals and tasks.
