In the latest national poll by Forbes magazine in collaboration with global market research, data analytics and strategy consulting firm HarrisX, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has 51% support and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has 49%. Forbes noted that this is a "notable change" because in a similar survey in September, Ms. Harris led Mr. Trump by 4 percentage points. The HarrisX/Forbes poll was conducted from October 21 to 22 with 1,244 likely voters and has a margin of error of 2.5%. The poll results were released on Wednesday (October 23). The above poll results were released as Mr. Trump and Ms. Kamala Harris are in a "neck-and-neck" race for the White House, with less than two weeks to go until the November 5 election.
HarrisX founder and CEO Dritan Nesho called this year's election a "competitive race to the finish." Forbes said political analysts and pollsters are "divided" on who will win. In the poll, many voters said they were still weighing their options. Twelve percent of likely voters and 18 percent of registered voters said they were undecided. A national poll of registered voters released by CNBC on October 24 showed Donald Trump leading Harris by 2 percentage points. Trump had 48 percent support, while Harris had 46 percent. Another 5 percent of voters said they were undecided, while 1 percent said they planned to vote for another candidate. The poll was conducted from October 15 to 19, with a total sample of 1,000 voters nationwide and a margin of error of 3.1%. According to CNBC, both nationally and in the battlegrounds, economic issues remain the most important concerns for voters. Mr. Trump is receiving more support from voters who prioritize inflation, the economy, addressing the needs of the middle class and immigration. Ms. Harris leads on issues such as abortion, protecting democracy, health care and climate change.
