Mr. Vo Tan Duc continues to be Deputy Secretary after resigning as Chairman of Dong Nai

(Dan Tri) - After resigning from his position, former Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc will continue to work in the locality, continuing to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On the afternoon of November 18, at the 7th session of the 10th term Dong Nai Provincial People's Council, delegates carried out the procedure to dismiss Mr. Vo Tan Duc from the position of Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee. Also at this session, Dong Nai Provincial People's Council elected Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Ut to hold the position of Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee with a 100% approval rate.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Vu Hong Van said that based on comments and assessments of cadres and the actual situation in the locality, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has carried out the reporting process and the Secretariat has agreed to let Mr. Vo Tan Duc continue working in Dong Nai province and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Vo Tan Duc ceased to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The leader of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee also informed that the Central Party Secretariat has issued Decision No. 2530 on Mr. Nguyen Van Ut ceasing to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and ceasing to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ut was mobilized and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and was introduced to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The above decisions of the Politburo and Secretariat on personnel work are of great significance in the context that the entire political system of Dong Nai is focusing on drastically implementing solutions to accelerate the completion of targets and tasks for 2025; creating a solid premise for successfully implementing the goals set for the entire 2025-2030 term.

Secretary Vu Hong Van assessed Mr. Vo Tan Duc as a cadre who grew up from the grassroots, experienced in many positions and fields of work, has experience and practical understanding, especially in the socio-economic field. As Deputy Secretary and Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Vo Tan Duc has made great contributions to the province in recent times. Especially, he has proposed breakthrough solutions in administrative reform, promoting the development of transport infrastructure projects, social housing, etc.

According to the conclusion of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the situation and results of the work of the Party Congresses directly under the Central Committee for the 2025-2030 term and a number of tasks in the coming time (Conclusion No. 201-KL/TW), Party committees and organizations directly under the Central Committee strictly implement new regulations on personnel work, especially the work of evaluating cadres to ensure democracy, publicity, impartiality, objectivity in a consistent, continuous, multi-dimensional manner, with criteria linked to the effectiveness and results of performing tasks, through specific products.

Party committees and organizations directly under the Central Committee continue to implement the policy of arranging 100% of the positions of Chairman of the People's Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee, and Chief Inspector of the province to not be local people.
