The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced that Associate Professor, Dr., People's Teacher Hoang Van Khoan passed away at 3:25 p.m. on March 12, 2023 at Military Hospital 103, at the age of 89.

He was born in 1934; hometown: Huong Thuy commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province; permanent residence: house number 40, lane 160 Luong The Vinh, Thanh Xuan Bac ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi city.

He was former Party Secretary, Deputy Head of the History Department; Deputy Party Secretary, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of Hanoi University of Science, Associate Professor of History, Meritorious Teacher, People's Teacher, Third Class Resistance Medal, Second Class Labor Medal, 60-year Party membership badge, For the Young Generation Medal, For the Science and Technology Cause Medal, Forthe Education Cause Medal;

Associate Professor, Dr., People's Teacher Hoang Van Khoan.

The visitation will start at 10:45 a.m. on March 15 at the Ministry of National Defense Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The funeral will take place at 12 p.m. the same day; burial will take place at Thien Duc Vinh Hang Vien Cemetery, Phu Ninh District, Phu Tho Province.
