Units proactively monitor and assess the status of road infrastructure, and have plans to divert traffic to other routes or bypasses that are safe for operation due to floods.

The Vietnam Road Administration requires units to strictly follow the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Transport , and focus on overcoming the consequences of floods caused by storm No. 3 (super storm Yagi).
Accordingly, the Department of Roads requires units to urgently concentrate forces to coordinate with relevant units and forces to fix the incident at Phong Chau bridge on National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province, national highways, expressways, other roads and road infrastructure affected, impacted, damaged, and caused by natural disasters, floods, and respond to and overcome the consequences of floods, landslides, flash floods, and landslides.
“Units proactively monitor and evaluate the status of road infrastructure, and have plans to divert traffic to other routes or bypasses that are qualified for safe operation,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration.
In case the bridge construction is not safe due to natural disasters, high water level, high flow rate, weak bridge, signs of potential traffic safety risks; underground locations, flooded, fast flowing; road sections with landslides, road breaks, part of the road breaks, the remaining part does not ensure traffic safety; landslide locations on the entire road surface but not yet repaired; ferry terminals, pontoon bridges with river water level, flow rate exceeding regulations... units must resolutely suspend operation.
For roads with damage levels that have not reached the level of road closure, the Department of Roads requires units to have appropriate traffic organization measures, limit traffic, direct the organization of guards to regulate and disperse traffic, reduce traffic density and avoid large concentrations of people and vehicles participating in traffic, add road signs and other safety measures./.
