Striving to help 60 thousand humanitarian addresses in Humanitarian Month 2025

(DN) - On April 11, the Provincial Red Cross Society held a ceremony to launch the Humanitarian Month 2025 with the theme: "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love".

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cao Van Quang; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung; Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Thi Thu Hien.

According to the President of the Provincial Red Cross Society Do Thi Phuoc Thien, this year's Humanitarian Month starts from March 1 to May 31, 2025. The goal of the Humanitarian Month in 2025 is to mobilize at least 15 billion VND to support over 60,000 humanitarian addresses associated with the following activities: visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services, households in difficult circumstances; mobilizing and supporting the construction of 10 Red Cross houses for families with housing difficulties; supporting the livelihoods of 20 poor families and those in difficult circumstances; mobilizing 100 people to register to donate human tissues and organs; participating in and organizing incense offerings and visits at 11 martyrs' cemeteries and revolutionary historical sites in the province... At the same time, the Red Cross societies at all levels in the province strive to mobilize and receive 11,300 units of voluntary blood donations.

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee received over 800 million VND in cash and in kind from individuals and groups. At the same time, the Provincial Red Cross Society also awarded 55 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties, disabled children in especially difficult circumstances; and presented gifts to 200 people in difficult circumstances...

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 26 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in association work and the voluntary blood donation movement.

In addition, the Vietnam Red Cross Society awarded 8 commemorative medals and 14 certificates of merit to groups and individuals who have made positive contributions to the association's work and the voluntary blood donation movement.
