Launching the photo contest "Green moment - green action

On June 5, in Hanoi , the Project Management Board "Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop green type II cities" in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists launched the art photography contest "Green moment - green action - green future".

The project "Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop green type II cities" was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , with the Department of Environment as the project owner; the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment is the co-implementing agency of the project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thang, Deputy Director of the project “Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop type II green cities” emphasized that climate change and environmental pollution are posing great challenges to Vietnamese urban areas, promoting the establishment of the project “Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop type II green cities”. The 5-year project aims to incorporate climate adaptation and environmental protection into the foundation of sustainable urban planning.

To strongly spread the project's message, and at the same time respond to World Environment Day and the Month of Action for the Environment in 2025, the Project Management Board "Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop green type II cities" in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists organized a photo contest with the theme "Green Moment - Green Action - Green Future".

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Thang, the photo contest aims to raise public awareness about environmental protection, climate change response, circular economy, green public procurement and low-emission urban areas, while honoring green actions through creative photographic works rich in content and artistic value.

The works will contribute to effective communication for the Project "Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop green type II cities", spreading the message for a sustainable environment, and at the same time honoring individuals and groups who are striving to build a green future for the country.

All Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam are eligible to participate. Entries must reflect one of the main themes, such as a specific moment in daily life related to environmental protection, circular economy, green public procurement and low-carbon urban development. Priority will be given to photos that capture a genuine, natural, unstaged moment.

Entries should clearly demonstrate concrete actions related to environmental protection, circular economy, green public procurement and low-carbon urban development; who is taking the action and what impact it is having.

Or entries can suggest green futures, circular economies, green public procurement, reducing emissions - keeping the air clean...

Entries can be single photos or photo series, color or black and white photos are all accepted. If competing in photo series, each author can submit a maximum of 2 photo series, each series from 5 to 8 photos.

Photos must be created using realistic methods. The organizers do not accept photos that are cropped, added, removed or distorted from reality (except for panorama photos).

Authors submit their entries directly to the website https://5wp.vn/thi-anh/vi-mottuong-lai-xanh, from June 5 to August 31, 2025.

The Organizing Committee will announce the results and award prizes at the end of September 2025. There will be 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 5 Consolation Prizes and 1 Most Popular Photo Prize. The First Prize is worth 10 million VND.
