The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this is an important event of Vietnamese culture, literature and arts, towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 85th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - a practical activity to continue implementing the Party's Resolutions on Culture, the Strategy for the development of Vietnam's cultural sector to 2035, with a vision to 2045 and the Conclusion of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference in 2021.

Throughout the history of the nation, literature and art have always carried a sacred mission, being a sharp weapon contributing to the struggle to preserve independence, contributing to the work of building and protecting the Fatherland. History still echoes, such as: "Nam quoc son ha Nam de cu" by famous general Ly Thuong Kiet; "Hich Tuong si" by Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan; "Binh Ngo Dai Cao" by world cultural celebrity Nguyen Trai. In the new era, President Ho Chi Minh advised: "Now in poetry there should be steel/Poets must also know how to charge"; and the late General Secretary Truong Chinh highlighted the sharp weapon of artists in the poem "Being a poet": "Each verse of poetry is a bomb to destroy tyranny".

50 years after the country was reunified, Vietnamese literature and performing arts have achieved important results, 50 years of a literary and artistic stream tirelessly creating national epics.

The typical works published during this period have realistically and vividly recorded the difficult but proud journey of the nation, from: healing the wounds of war, breaking the siege and embargo to successfully implementing the renovation and international integration. Literature and art are the soul of culture, one of the great driving forces promoting socio-economic development, building and defending the Fatherland.

We always keep in mind the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh on the pioneering role of artists: "Culture and art are also a front. You are soldiers on that front." His teachings are the guiding principle for Vietnamese revolutionary literature and art.

Recently, at the National Artists' Meeting Conference in December 2024, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "Our country is standing at the door of history to enter a new era, an era of development, prosperity, and growth. To achieve this great goal, it requires the breakthrough efforts of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army under the leadership of the Party, in which the contribution of literature and art, and the team of artists play a particularly important and urgent role.

The Party, the State and the people look forward to and believe in the transformation, strong rise and positive contributions of the artists in the new revolutionary period." This is a strategic vision, placing culture and arts at the center of the cause of building and defending the country in the new era. Our task is to concretize that guiding ideology with works of high ideological and artistic value, with wide influence.

The Deputy Prime Minister shared that today's ceremony to announce 50 outstanding and outstanding Vietnamese literary and performing arts works is not only an honoring event, but also an act of deep gratitude, from the heart to the heart, of the Party, State and people towards generations of artists, those who have devoted their talents, intelligence and their whole lives to "crystallize the sacred soul of the mountains and rivers" into every stroke of the letter, every note of music, every play...

It is a tribute to the silent sacrifices and tireless creations that have built up the Vietnamese spirit, spirit and soul. And above all, it is the most sincere tribute to millions of people, readers and audiences - those who have preserved, passed on and turned these works into a common heritage, truly alive in the spiritual life of the nation.

At the same time, today's launch of the "Living Forever with Time" literary and artistic works is a practical action, demonstrating the great aspiration that the Party, State and People place on the team of artists and intellectuals.

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister called on artists and intellectuals nationwide to:

First, be people who seek and honor true beauty. Each work must be the crystallization of love for the homeland, the country, of a deep understanding of people and contemporary Vietnamese life. Engage in practice, discover new models, new people who are day and night contributing to the development of the country, fighting against negativity and evil.

Second, create works of new ideological and artistic stature. The works "Living forever with time" must reach the pinnacle of art, have profound humanity, have the ability to educate, orient aesthetics, reflect the country's innovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration, enrich the spiritual life of the people and be suitable for today's life. Boldly innovate creative methods, explore modern and attractive forms of expression but always maintain the national character and identity.

Third, promote the responsibility of "Cultural Warriors". Writers and artists, with their responsibility to the people, the Party, the Fatherland and the future of the Nation, need to contribute more to building, preserving and developing Vietnamese culture, so that culture can truly be the "spiritual foundation", "development driving force", and "light the way for the nation". Strongly promote the role of cheerleaders, motivators, and leaders of public opinion with positive, humane messages imbued with truth, goodness and beauty. Actively participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views with the power of culture and art.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct the strengthening and improvement of the effectiveness of state management of culture, literature and arts; closely coordinate with the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, specialized literature and arts associations at the central and local levels; effectively implement the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period; Conclusion No. 84-KL/TW dated June 21, 2024 of the Politburo to continue implementing Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2008 of the Politburo (10th tenure) on "continuing to build and develop literature and arts in the new era"; at the same time, focus on completing and soon submitting to the Politburo for promulgation the Resolution on developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that with enthusiasm, talent and great responsibility, the team of artists and intellectuals will continue to promote the glorious tradition, creating works of real value that "live forever", making Vietnamese culture shine.

At the program, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the selection and awarded certificates to 50 outstanding Vietnamese literary and performing arts works after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

In the 50 representative works there are: 14 literary works, 18 theatrical works, 12 musical works, 6 dance plays.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also organized the Launch of the "Living Forever with Time" literary and artistic works for the period 2026-2030.
