Humanitarian Month was launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society in 2018 and has become an annual activity of profound humanitarian significance, contributing to the strong spread of humanitarian values, love and sharing in the community. In 2025, Humanitarian Month will take place from March 1 to May 31, peaking from May 8 (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (birthday of President Ho Chi Minh - founder and first honorary president of the Vietnam Red Cross Society). With the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love", this year's Humanitarian Month continues to emphasize the continuity of humanitarian activities as a series of humanitarian deeds that are maintained and developed, a journey connecting compassionate hearts, creating a large network of support and sharing, bringing people together.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the contributions of the Red Cross Associations at all levels in humanitarian work in recent times and hoped that the Humanitarian Month would become a movement of the entire people. To effectively implement the Humanitarian Month in 2025, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also called on agencies, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to actively participate in Humanitarian Month activities and continue to accompany the Provincial Red Cross Association to join hands with local Party committees and authorities to support and help the poor and people in difficult circumstances in life; strengthen humanitarian assistance activities in the community, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, take care of people's health, contribute to the good implementation of the social security policies of the Party and State, build a united, compassionate, progressive, and civilized social community.

Responding to the Humanitarian Month 2025, at the ceremony, comrade Ho Thi Cam Dao presented a symbolic plaque of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee Office to support 2 humanitarian addresses; SV07 Volunteer Team donated 24 houses and 180 bicycles, 12 cooking sessions; "Giving Hope" Club provided support to 12 people with serious illnesses in Soc Trang province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross presented 20 gifts to families of Agent Orange victims and families in difficult circumstances, and 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies, worth 1 million VND each, and 400 uniforms to students of Ward 2 Kindergarten, Nga Nam Town. Accordingly, the Provincial Red Cross also presented a plaque of recognition for “Golden Heart of Humanity” and beautiful flowers as a thank you to units, organizations, individuals, and donors.
