Launching a 90-day-night competition to clear land for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway route

To effectively organize and implement the emulation campaign, the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requires agencies and units to focus on site clearance work to serve the railway project to ensure compliance with the required plan and schedule. Emulate creative labor, complete on schedule, exceed the plan, ensure the progress of compensation, support and construction of resettlement and reproduction areas for people and businesses.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee said: The Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project is a historic and unique opportunity for Lao Cai province to break through and develop in the coming decades, contributing to soon making Lao Cai a center for economic trade connection between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Southwest region of China.

The project will create great opportunities for businesses inside and outside the province to participate in the construction process, supply materials, and logistic services, and will create thousands of jobs, creating livelihood opportunities to help people increase their income and improve their lives.

Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong requested the entire provincial political system to seriously implement the site clearance work for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway construction investment project in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister, to organize and implement the work in parallel, at the same time, resolutely not to let the later work wait for the earlier work, "not enough work during the day, take advantage of working at night", work "through holidays, through Tet, through days off".

In addition, the province needs to strengthen propaganda and mobilization of project policies and guidelines to the people; policies must be put into practice, especially resettlement policies must be the best for the people.

The investment project to build the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway through Lao Cai province is about 66.1km long, passing through Lao Cai city, Bao Thang, Bao Yen and Van Ban districts.

Lao Cai province has measured 62.5/66.1km; completed the inventory of 293 households, 15/104 production establishments; issued 220 land recovery notices.

Currently, 16 resettlement projects are being implemented in districts and cities with a total investment of VND 293 billion, along with 4 projects on site leveling and technical infrastructure to serve the relocation of production facilities with an investment of VND 995 billion.
