5-year-old boy found dead in kindergarten water tank in Ha Tinh - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television

The body of a 5-year-old boy was found in a water tank at Cam Trung Kindergarten (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province).

On the afternoon of April 25, speaking with a reporter from VTC News Electronic Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Hoang, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Cam Xuyen District ( Ha Tinh ) confirmed the incident that occurred at Cam Trung Kindergarten, Cam Xuyen District.

According to Ms. Hoang, on the morning of April 25, when the teacher of the 5-year-old class at Cam Trung Kindergarten took roll call, she noticed that a 5-year-old boy was missing. The teacher, the school board, and school staff searched the entire school grounds but could not find him, so they reported it to the authorities and police.

At around 10am, after about 3 hours of searching, authorities discovered the boy’s body in the school’s well water tank. The water tank was only about 2-3 metres from the classroom.

Police are investigating to clarify the cause of the boy's death.

According to information from local leaders, the boy's parents are currently working abroad, and the boy lives with his grandparents.

About 1.5 months ago, in Ha Tinh, a 15-month-old boy was also run over and killed by a car right in front of a private kindergarten.

Specifically, at around 7am on March 10, HBL was taken by her parents to the private Tuoi Tho Kindergarten. When the teacher was not paying attention, HBL ran out into the street.

At that time, a female parent driving a red car stopped in front of the daycare facility. When leaving, because HBL was standing in a position that was out of sight, the female driver ran over her. People around discovered and shouted for the female driver to stop the car and take HBL to the emergency room.
