Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Thi Tuyen, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Tran Lan Phuong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; along with representatives of the Women's Unions of provinces and cities and leaders of the city's Departments and branches.
After 7 years of implementation, Project 1893 has basically completed 4 key tasks: research, consulting and policy development; organizing training activities; developing and perfecting training programs; organizing inspection, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training. Up to now, the Project has achieved 100% of its goals in improving knowledge, professional skills of the Association, social work and specialized skills according to position, job and field of work. More than 727,500 students have attended knowledge update classes, and over 7,500 students have attended professional training classes.
The system of documents and programs has been updated in a practical and flexible manner, with more than 60% of the content being renewed. Over 80 online topics have been developed and widely disseminated. Information technology has been applied synchronously in about 70% of provinces and cities, with a combined form of direct - online training and an electronic learning platform. The project has made an important contribution to improving the quality of the Association's staff at all levels, especially the capacity to manage, operate and implement the Association's activities.
Speaking at the Conference, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen acknowledged and commended the outstanding results in the implementation of Project 1893, and affirmed that this is an important step in improving the capacity of the Union's staff at all levels.
Emphasizing the need to build a cadre team that meets development requirements in the new period, the President of the Association requested the Central Committee of the Association to report and recommend the Prime Minister to consider and approve the Project on training cadres of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, including female cadres and cadres of the Association, for the period 2026-2031. The President also requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions in terms of funding and resources; at the same time, develop a strategy to discover, train and plan a team of female cadres and young cadres for the next generation. In addition, the Women's Unions of provinces and cities need to proactively develop training plans associated with organizational restructuring and digital transformation; promote document digitization, replicate effective models and organize specialized training courses by position group and region.
Along with that, the Chairman emphasized the requirement to complete the set of criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of training work, linked with the results of implementing political tasks of the Association at all levels.
At the Conference, representatives of the Women's Union of several provinces and cities presented papers on the results of implementing Project 1893 in their localities. The papers focused on analyzing the advantages and difficulties in the implementation process; at the same time, proposing recommendations to continue effectively implementing the Project in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 collectives and 24 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 1893 for the 2019-2025 period.
