Master Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu (Academy of Politics Region II, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) analyzed that performing arts as a branch of the cultural industry is expressed in many stages such as: actors, script writing, staging and performing various types of singing, dancing, music and theater and some other types of art.

According to Master Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu, from the perspective of localities with strengths in developing cultural industries, including performing arts, Ho Chi Minh City is currently one of the leading localities in the country. In addition to advantages in financial potential, infrastructure, and large market, the City is also a place where many diverse cultural values converge with abundant and specialized human resources.

Many models of cultural and artistic service activities that have been formed in recent times are also favorable for Ho Chi Minh City to develop cultural industries, contributing positively to economic growth, job creation, meeting the creative needs, cultural enjoyment of the people and export.

Many cultural addresses and places for performing arts and culture are familiar to the people of Ho Chi Minh City such as the City Theater, Ben Thanh Theater, Hoa Binh Theater, Tran Huu Trang Opera House, 5B Vo Van Tan Drama Stage, Youth Cultural House, City Labor Culture Palace...

Sharing the same view, Mr. Ha Quoc Cuong, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater affirmed that in recent times, along with economic development, cultural and artistic life in the city has had many changes, taking place more and more vibrantly, developing both in breadth and depth, achieving encouraging results.

Many intangible cultural heritages in the art form, especially intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, are of interest to the City for preservation.

All levels and sectors also have practical solutions, including performing and introducing many traditional and folk art forms in the general school system. The city promotes traditional and ethnic art resources, combining conservation with the exploitation of tourism development factors.

Cultural and artistic activities to celebrate major holidays and important political events of the country and the City are organized with great attention. Many artistic programs serving major political events are built on a large scale, unique, with high ideological and artistic value, contributing to improving propaganda work and bringing cultural imprints of Ho Chi Minh City.

Taking the example of a cultural product in the performing arts industry that has created a big buzz, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy said that the "Ho Do" International Music Festival, after being held four times, has become a typical artistic activity, gradually building a unique brand of the City.

The festival not only brings music to the community but also contributes to creating a creative space, a meeting place for international friends, introducing unique values of national culture, and at the same time demonstrating the development orientation of cultural industries with strengths in Ho Chi Minh City.

From the advantages, to develop performing arts as a cultural industry more effectively and create new momentum requires synchronous solutions and focused investment resources.

Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association Nguyen Thi My Liem said that in order to develop the performing arts industry, including music performances in our country, it is necessary to build a Vietnamese music performance industry ecosystem with all the elements from institutions, policies, investment, training, innovation, startups, promotion, etc.

In particular, it is necessary to develop synchronously with other cultural industries such as design, fashion, television and radio, advertising, especially strengthening the connection of performing arts products with cultural tourism, creating cultural diffusion, developing tourism and service economy.

According to Master Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu (Academy of Politics Region II, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics), to develop the cultural industry, specifically the performing arts industry, localities with strengths such as Ho Chi Minh City need to strengthen their role in setting out policy systems, building development strategies, financial investment; building mechanisms and policies to encourage capital mobilization from economic sectors, legal funding sources, organizations and individuals to invest in performing arts products.

All levels and sectors should strengthen the implementation of solutions related to the collection, restoration, and transmission of traditional art forms such as opera, reformed opera, puppetry, etc.

Regarding the mechanism and policies to promote the cultural industry, for the performing arts industry, the representative of Yeah1 Group - the organizer of the concert "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" which was warmly received by the audience, proposed that from the current situation of still having difficulties in finding suitable venues to organize large events, with a capacity of about 30,000-50,000 people, it is necessary to invest and build a more favorable event organization environment, solving difficulties in suitable venues. From there, creating more favorable opportunities for Vietnamese performing arts to reach new heights, contributing to the development of the cultural industry with high efficiency.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy said that to develop cultural industries, including performing arts, based on their characteristics and strengths, the City has implemented solutions focusing on creating more spaces, investing in construction and calling for investment in many modern cultural institutions that meet standards, increasingly meeting the people's needs for performing and enjoying art.
