On the afternoon of September 24, the Government's Steering Committee on Science , Technology Development, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06 (Steering Committee) held its fourth session; nationwide online.

In recent times, the leadership, direction and operation of science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 have continued to be vigorously deployed and synchronously organized with high determination from the Central to the grassroots levels, in the spirit of "unity - smoothness - comprehensiveness - efficiency."

Institutions, mechanisms and policies continue to be focused on completion. There are 3 strategic products selected: AI platform; 5G network, Blockchain. Digital infrastructure is focused on investment and development. In August 2025, Vietnam will be in the top 10 in the world in terms of Internet speed; the population coverage rate of 5G has reached 26%; the first National Data Center has been inaugurated; the 3,900 km long land-based fiber optic cable line connecting to 5 countries will be exploited.

In the first 8 months of 2025, the technology industry's revenue reached more than 3.2 million billion VND, hardware and electronics exports reached 111.4 billion USD. The development of digital government was promoted; the two-level local government operated effectively; online public services were increasingly improved; digital society and digital citizens were given attention; administrative reforms were implemented vigorously and achieved many clear results./.
