The courses will start from November 2-4 and from November 16-20, 2015. MHI has been collaborating with HUST and Electric Power University (EPU) in developing young human resources for the Nuclear Power and Aerospace Engineering industries. Lecturers from MHI, who are experts in engineering and nuclear reactor core design, will mainly teach engineering related to nuclear power generation. The courses will provide students with knowledge about nuclear power plants and how they operate. As a global leader in the nuclear power industry, MHI has partnered with HUST to organize a course that provides certain knowledge about the basic skills of the system and plant management knowledge, including the operation and safety of nuclear fuel at nuclear power plants. Graduates of this course will play an important role in the development of Vietnam's nuclear industry. Students of the Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Environmental Physics, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the course. The course was opened based on a cooperation program between MHI and HUST in 2010. Up to now, MHI has awarded a total of 60 scholarships to students and 30 study abroad trips for students and university lecturers to Japan. In addition, MHI and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) on human resource development for the machinery industry in Vietnam. MHI will continue to sponsor scholarship programs for Vietnamese students in Japan and will continue to contribute to the development of human resources in the field of nuclear energy, as well as the foundation of this energy industry in Vietnam.
