- E-commerce is a form of business that is becoming increasingly popular. Not out of that general trend, promotion and business through e-commerce platforms in Lang Son province are increasingly interested in and applied in practice by enterprises, cooperatives, business households and farmers.
In the 2025 Vanh Khuyen persimmon crop, Vanh Khuyen persimmon products are actively promoted and sold by farmers, cooperatives, and traders on e-commerce platforms (Nongsan.buudien.vn, Vipo Mall, Buudien.vn...).
Mr. Hoang Van Hau, Director of Na Mo Persimmon Production and Trading Cooperative, Hoang Van Thu Commune, Lang Son Province, said: Before entering the Persimmon harvest season, the cooperative members were trained by the Department of Industry and Trade, the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lang Son Province to bring agricultural products to e-commerce platforms. Therefore, immediately after harvesting the persimmons, the cooperative members connected through sales channels to promote and consume the Persimmon products on e-commerce platforms. Accordingly, in the last Persimmon harvest, the cooperative sold about 300 tons of persimmons through e-commerce platforms.
According to statistics from the communes of Hoang Van Thu, Na Sam, Van Lang, Thuy Hung, Hoi Hoan... in the 2025 Vanh Khuyen persimmon crop, the harvested persimmon output was more than 9.1 thousand tons, of which about 30% of the Vanh Khuyen persimmon output was consumed through e-commerce channels.
Not only Vanh Khuyen persimmons, according to statistics from the Department of Industry and Trade, currently other agricultural products of Lang Son province such as custard apples, quince, mac mat,... to processed products such as roast duck, khau nhuc, black jelly powder, wind-dried persimmons, dried persimmons, dried sticky rice cakes, chili bamboo shoots, Khao cakes, dong vermicelli, or other products such as star anise essential oil, cinnamon essential oil,... have all been put on e-commerce products and digital platforms by businesses, cooperatives and people for promotion and sales.
Like Thien Phu Trading and Construction Company Limited (Tam Thanh ward), the company is promoting and selling some specialty products of Lang Son province on social media channels and e-commerce platforms such as black plum soaked in salt (processed) and Lang Son roast duck.
Mr. Tran The Kien, Director of Thien Phu Trading and Construction Company Limited, said: In order for the company's products to be widely promoted, the company has proactively built an "online supermarket" called giaohangtainha.vn to serve customers shopping conveniently via the internet, and at the same time deployed to put all the company's products on e-commerce platforms to optimize the channel of promotion, marketing and distribution of products to consumers. Accordingly, currently the company's products are not only consumed in provinces and cities across the country but also "reached" the markets in Laos, Thailand...

Mr. La Duc Doan, Head of Trade Management Department, Department of Industry and Trade shared: The concept of putting products on e-commerce platforms appeared in Lang Son since 2019, but at this time only a few production and business enterprises knew about it. But up to now, business owners, cooperatives, business households and farmers in Lang Son province have become familiar with the method of doing business in the digital environment, especially boldly putting their products on e-commerce platforms. Accordingly, currently, businesses, cooperatives and business households in the province have actively participated in online business activities, doing business through e-commerce platforms, many local specialty products have been widely sold on social networking channels and e-commerce platforms.
To promote e-commerce development associated with digital transformation, in recent years, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has directed the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and relevant departments and branches of the province to support enterprises, cooperatives, business households and farmers to apply technology, participate in introducing, promoting and selling products on reputable e-commerce platforms; support enterprises, cooperatives, business households to develop and apply electronic payment utilities, end-to-end delivery (logistics) to support suppliers and online buyers; especially support enterprises and cooperatives to build online brands and market products in the electronic environment and support import-export enterprises of the province to participate in the national e-commerce platform; regularly organize seminars and training courses on e-commerce development for business owners, cooperatives, and business households in the province.

In fact, promoting, selling and distributing products through e-commerce platforms is becoming an inevitable development trend for any company, enterprise or cooperative in Lang Son province. According to statistics from the Department of Industry and Trade, currently 50% of enterprises and cooperatives operating in production and business in the province conduct business activities on e-commerce trading platforms (including social networks with e-commerce trading platform functions), and 40% of enterprises and cooperatives participate in e-commerce activities on mobile applications; 100% of supermarkets, shopping centers and modern distribution facilities have devices that accept payment cards and allow consumers to make cashless payments when making purchases.
Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, to aim for a higher goal in e-commerce development, the Department of Industry and Trade is gradually supporting enterprises and cooperatives to develop cross-border e-commerce. Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade is implementing support for enterprises to participate in reputable e-commerce trading floors; supporting the promotion and introduction of local products at domestic and foreign fairs; strengthening connections with associations, industries, business communities and related organizations and individuals to participate in cooperation with supply chains and distribution systems abroad.
In fact, to continue promoting business activities through e-commerce platforms, Lang Son province has been synchronously implementing solutions to focus on developing digital infrastructure; actively implementing the province's policies to support businesses in developing commercial activities in a modern direction, adapting to the current digital commerce trend. Thereby, it helps to expand the market, increase economic growth, and create a solid foundation to promote the digital transformation process of Lang Son province.
As of September 30, 2025, Lang Son province had 20,984 products put on e-commerce platforms - ranking 2nd nationwide in terms of the number of products on e-commerce platforms and had more than 50,000 successful transactions, ranking 3rd nationwide in terms of the number of successful transactions. Notably, the rate of agricultural production households trained in digital skills to put products on e-commerce platforms in Lang Son is currently 93%, the 3rd highest nationwide. |
