Previously, Ms. Pham Thi Loan's family in Hung Phong village only cultivated rice once a year. Unstable productivity and low income made her family's life always difficult. In 2024, Hong Phat One Member Co., Ltd. in Hai Duong came to survey, coordinated with the commune to organize meetings in the village, and mobilized households, including her family, to rent land to grow cassava. Realizing the practical benefits of having income from renting land and the opportunity to become workers for the company, her family agreed. Ms. Loan shared: "Before, growing rice was very hard, only one harvest a year, and prices were unstable. Since renting land to the company and being hired as workers, family life has been much more stable." After two years of growing cassava, her family's life has improved.
Sharing that joy, Mr. Lo Van Phan's family in Hua Sang village not only leased land to Hong Phat One Member Co., Ltd. but also hired some of his family members as workers. In particular, Mr. Phan was entrusted by the company to manage the entire cassava area.

Workers at the Cassava Starch Processing Factory (Hong Phat One Member Co., Ltd.) perform cassava processing steps.

It is known that in the first year of implementation, many households were still hesitant and did not trust the company to give land. After harvesting, nearly 10 hectares of cassava yielded very high productivity and quality, especially the company fully fulfilled its land lease obligations to the people. This is the basis for the company to expand the area by more than 20 hectares in 2025.
Not only stopping at developing raw material areas, Hong Phat One Member Co., Ltd. has completed the construction of a cassava starch processing factory right in the locality. Mr. Truong Van Hung - Director of the company said: After 2 years of growing cassava in Ban Bo commune, we found that this crop is suitable for local soil conditions, has a fairly high yield, and is much more effective than other crops. In the coming time, the company plans to expand the area, and at the same time invest in deep processing of cassava starch products such as cassava vermicelli, cassava ice cream and many other products. We hope to increase the value of cassava, create more jobs and stable income for local people.
Although the cassava plant has taken root in the fields of Ban Bo commune for 2 years, it has shown that it not only brings direct economic benefits to the people but also contributes to the socio-economic development of the locality. At the same time, it affirms that the connection between businesses and people has brought encouraging results, creating a foundation for effective and sustainable agricultural development.
