On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, selling pressure remained, causing the market to decline for most of the trading session. During the session, there were times when strong bottom-fishing demand helped the market turn green. However, after that, increased supply caused the market to reverse and decline. The decline became stronger towards the end of the session.
Closing, VN-Index decreased 18.56 points (-1.16%), down to 1,580.54 points; VN30-Index reached 1,804.18 points after decreasing 20.53 points (-1.13%).

Thus, the market has continuously adjusted in recent sessions and is getting further away from the 1,600 point mark. Some experts believe that this is a healthy adjustment, creating a foundation for a new wave of growth.
Market breadth was heavily tilted to the downside with 202 stocks declining and 101 stocks rising. In the VN30 basket, there were 6 stocks rising and 21 stocks falling.
By industry group, most groups decreased in points, with the sharpest decrease being in the software and services group and the industrial goods group.
Bucking the general trend were the hardware and equipment; communications and entertainment; personal and home care products; food, beverages and tobacco; insurance; and essential trade and aviation groups.
The stock with the strongest impact on the market decline was VHM. This code with the third largest capitalization decreased by 5.54%, taking 4.52 points off the VN-Index. Next wereFPT (1.78 points), CTG (1.2 points), VCB and GAS (all nearly 1 point). The codes GEE, VRE, LPB and VIC also contributed to the index's decline.
Liquidity reached over VND21,300 billion. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers, with a purchase value of nearly VND2,603 billion and a sale value of over VND2,779 billion.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the total transaction value reached approximately VND1,900 billion. At the end of the session, the HNX-Index decreased by 1.93 points (-0.74%) to 258.18 points; the HNX30-Index decreased by 4.54 points (-0.81%) to 554.31 points.
