Closing the deal, the film about livestream sales is the first film in which Miss Thuy Tien plays the main role. However, up to now, the film is at risk of not being released in theaters because the female lead is involved in a scandal related to advertising the Kera vegetable candy product.

The movie "Closing the Order" starring Miss Thuy Tien has faced a wave of boycott from the public even before it was released in theaters.

On April 6, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency officially determined that Thuy Tien was involved in the Kera candy case. Previously, Thuy Tien was administratively sanctioned by the National Competition Commission for unclear advertising. The beauty queen was also temporarily suspended from leaving the country by the Dak Lak Provincial Police Investigation Agency from March 15 to May 15, 2025 to serve the verification and investigation.

On April 9, Thuy Tien locked her personal page. Before that, the beauty queen’s other social media accounts were also not visible or had all posts deleted. Brands that cooperated with Thuy Tien also quickly removed the beauty queen’s images before the scandal storm.

This scandal has directly negatively affected the film Chot Don . Over the past month, all promotional activities for the film have been suspended. The future of this potential project's theatrical release is currently a big question mark. Even on social networking sites and the film's fanpage, many viewers have criticized and called for a boycott of the film, creating a lot of pressure for the producer.

Before that, the film had a continuous campaign of massive promotion on social networks, especially for Thuy Tien - who took on the female lead role. Even when Thuy Tien became Friend of the House of the Dior brand in Vietnam in early March, the media team of Chot Don also posted congratulatory posts, taking advantage of her appeal. Thuy Tien's personal fanpage also continuously shared behind-the-scenes images and her role in this second film project.

Thuy Tien's identification as "related" to the Kera candy case makes the film's future uncertain.

As of April 10, the producer and distributor remain silent about the official release date, while the film is facing a wave of negative reactions and harsh criticism from the online community.

With the current situation, many predict that the movie Chot Don faces the risk of having to continue to postpone/postpone or cancel its release plan. Even if it is released on the right date, it will still affect revenue because Thuy Tien's scandal is enough to tarnish the image of the movie.

In the worst case, if the film has to cancel its release plan, the Chot Don crew could face the risk of being sued by the investor, or the production unit could even file a lawsuit against Thuy Tien to claim compensation for damages caused by her scandal, seriously affecting the project's ability to release and recover capital.

Previously, Chot Don had set a release date for March 8. However, on February 27, the production unit suddenly announced that the release date would be postponed to June, citing the film's post-production stage.

Directed by the duo Bao Nhan and Namcito, Chot Don attracted attention when choosing Miss Thuy Tien as the female lead, paired with artist Quyen Linh. The film also gathered a cast of talented actors such as Hong Dao, People's Artist Hong Van,..

In the worst case, the movie "Closing the Order" starring Thuy Tien and Quyen Linh may have to cancel its release plan.

The film revolves around the character Hoang Linh - a young female director who is successful in the field of livestream sales, but has to face pressure from work and life. She meets Mr. An (Quyen Linh) - an office worker and technology motorbike taxi driver.

Amidst the ambiguity, change, and pressure of society on two generations, Hoang Linh and Uncle An, who are opposites in age, background, and personality, formed a special friendship. The two joined hands to create successful "closing" sessions.

The film's setting has many similarities with Thuy Tien's real-life incident, making this film project even more controversial on social media.

The Kera vegetable candy advertising scandal has pushed Thuy Tien into an unprecedented media crisis in her career. Whether Chot Don can overcome this "storm" to reach the audience or will become a regrettable "flop" of the summer of 2025 is still a mystery.
