Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong visited and wished a Happy New Year to the Command of Military Region 1

(BBG)- On January 16, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, a working delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee and the Command of Military Region 1. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the leaders of the following agencies: Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Party Committee Office.

Receiving the delegation were Major General Hoang Van Huu, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1 and leaders of agencies and units under the Military Region.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong presented flowers to wish the Party Committee and Military Region 1 Command a Happy New Year.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, comrade Nguyen Thi Huong provided an overview of the socio-economic, security, and defense situation of Bac Giang province in 2024.

Last year, Bac Giang province faced many difficulties and challenges, especially storm No. 3 (Yagi) which caused damage to property, crops, livestock, and plants, greatly affecting people's lives. Under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and the efforts of authorities at all levels and the people, Bac Giang overcame the difficulties. The economic growth rate reached 13.85%, ranking first in the country; the economic scale ranked 12th in the country; the economic structure continued to shift towards increasing the proportion of industry.

The security and defense sectors achieved positive results; people's lives improved. Contributing to the above results were the attention and close coordination of Military Region 1, especially in implementing local defense and military work, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development.

Entering 2025, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes to continue receiving the attention, support, and coordination of the Military Region. On the occasion of the New Year, Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong wishes the leaders, officers, and soldiers of Military Region 1 good health, success, and new victories in the new year.

Major General Hoang Van Huu thanked the provincial leaders for their attention and wished the Party Committee, government, people and armed forces of Bac Giang province many new successes in the new year. The Deputy Commander believes that under the leadership of the Party Committee, government and the consensus of the people, Bac Giang province will develop comprehensively and remarkably, always leading the country in all fields, ensuring national defense and security, and building a strong defense zone.
