Expressing his joy at accompanying National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to visit the beautiful country of Armenia with its rich historical traditions for the first time, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong sincerely thanked the National Assembly and the Armenian side for giving the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation a warm and thoughtful welcome.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong congratulated Armenia on the important achievements in recent years, especially in socio-economic development and improving people's lives, thereby affirming Armenia's position in the region and the international arena. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated Armenia's development results in digital transformation, science and technology development, innovation, high-tech application, artificial intelligence, etc., including the TUMO Center for Innovative Technology model that National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation recently visited. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that among the common achievements and results, the Armenian National Assembly plays an important role. Based on the potential and strengths of the two countries, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong stated that Vietnam and Armenia still have much room to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

The First Vice President of the Armenian National Assembly affirmed that he attaches importance to the traditional friendship and good cooperation in many aspects with Vietnam, including cooperation in the parliamentary channel.

At the meeting, the two sides emphasized the significance of the first official visit to Armenia by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on behalf of the Party and State of Vietnam, held just over five months after the official visit to Vietnam by the Armenian National Assembly Chairman, demonstrating the determination of the Leaders and the desire of the people of the two countries to promote the bilateral cooperation relationship increasingly comprehensively and extensively.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and First Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia both welcomed and affirmed that the Vietnam - Armenia Business Dialogue held within the framework of the visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man was a great success, with the participation of more than 60 enterprises representing many fields, such as minerals, energy, aviation, telecommunications, textiles, food processing, information technology, etc. The two sides emphasized that cooperation between the two countries is not competitive but complementary, and through the Dialogue, businesses of the two countries had direct contacts and exchanges to seek new cooperation opportunities, suitable to the development needs of the two countries.

In that spirit, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly is ready to support the Governments, agencies and businesses of the two countries to seek opportunities and expand cooperation, in accordance with the development needs of each country. In particular, Vietnam is currently vigorously implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus and reforming institutions to simplify administrative procedures, creating the most favorable conditions for foreign enterprises in general, including Armenian enterprises, to invest and do business in Vietnam.

The Vice President of the Armenian National Assembly suggested that the Vietnamese National Assembly support and encourage relevant agencies of the two countries to have favorable visa policies for citizens of the two countries; promote the formation of a framework for avoiding double taxation and consider opening direct flights to facilitate trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries; strengthen educational and training cooperation such as student exchanges, granting scholarships to each other's students, and mutual recognition of degrees.

Within the framework of the official visit to Armenia by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the two countries' National Assemblies signed a Cooperation Agreement. National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong and Armenian National Assembly Vice Chairman agreed that in the coming time, the two sides need to actively and effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the National Assemblies of Vietnam and Armenia; at the same time, promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, between the leaders of the two countries' National Assemblies. Along with that are direct contacts between the leaders of the specialized committees of the two countries' National Assemblies, in order to promptly share information and experience in the fields of legislation, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country. Promote and promote the role of Friendship Parliamentarians' Groups, Young Parliamentarians' Groups, Women Parliamentarians' Groups, carry out supervision work, urge the effective implementation of bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements as well as maintain close cooperation and support each other at multilateral organizations and international and regional inter-parliamentary forums.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong respectfully invited First Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan to soon visit and work in Vietnam; First Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan happily accepted the invitation and respectfully invited Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong to soon visit Armenia again.
