Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Huu Tri inspected the newly eroded section of the 30/4 canal bank in Chom Xoai hamlet ( Nha Mat ward , Bac Lieu city ).

Previously, on the evening of May 26, due to heavy rain, the bank of the 30/4 canal, passing through the Chom Xoai cluster, continued to erode a section of about 10m long. This is the third time this area has eroded.

After listening to the functional sector and the People's Committee of Bac Lieu City present the cause of the landslide, as well as propose a solution, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Huu Tri directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment, directly the Department of Irrigation and Construction Management to regulate Nha Mat sluice reasonably. Functional sectors and local authorities need to handle houses encroaching on the canal bed, vehicles parked that change the flow, especially barges and ships anchored near Nha Mat sluice.
