Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son works with Dong Xoai City Party Committee

(CTTĐTBP) - On the morning of April 20, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors inspected the actual project of component 5, under the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, Western section, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) passing through Dong Xoai city; worked with Dong Xoai City Party Committee on the progress of site clearance, difficulties and obstacles regarding land, construction of projects being implemented in the city.

Implementing the clever mass mobilization program: "City work, village work, golden land also donated", in the period of 2018-2024, the city mobilized people to donate 49 works and projects, equivalent to more than 3,000 land plots with 130 hectares, the value of donated land is about 1,150 billion VND.

Dong Xoai City is currently implementing compensation and site clearance for 20 projects, of which projects transitioning from the 2013 Land Law to the 2024 Land Law are facing many obstacles due to overlapping regulations. During the implementation process, some projects lack capital, are about to stop or temporarily stop, causing many difficulties for the locality when people have agreed to hand over the site but have not received compensation and support according to regulations.

Leaders of Dong Xoai city's professional departments and offices gave their opinions at the working session.

Regarding the North-South Expressway Construction Project in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section, the section passing through Dong Xoai city is about 18km long and includes 6 intersections. To prepare the site for investors, the city has established a Steering Committee for site clearance, conducted measurements and inventory of the project area, and at the same time implemented the development of support and compensation unit prices as well as reviewed land funds and resettlement plans for people affected by the project.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son hoped that the city would continue to effectively promote the program of skillful mass mobilization, strengthen coordination with the province's specialized agencies to remove difficulties and obstacles to speed up the progress of key projects. With a large amount of work remaining, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the city to promptly resolve administrative procedures, be proactive and flexible in handling work, and strive to complete the groups of targets and tasks set out before stopping the district-level organization according to regulations.

Faced with the investor's urgent request for land, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son requested Dong Xoai city to quickly implement the compensation process and support resettlement for affected households, including a flexible and appropriate policy mechanism to create consensus among the people in the early handover of land, creating conditions for investors to speed up progress with the goal of putting the expressway into operation as soon as possible./.
