Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nghiem Xuan Cuong inspected the preparations for the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival in Tien Yen district.

On January 22, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and the provincial delegation inspected the preparations for the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 in Tien Yen district.

Comrade Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the tree planting site in Dong Dinh village, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district.

According to the plan, the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the year of At Ty will be held on February 3, 2025 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year) at plot 10, sub-area 242, Dong Dinh village community forest area, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district. It is expected to plant large timber forests (Giổi trees) in Dong Dinh village community forest on an area of about 2 hectares and plant 100 chay trees along the road to the Tay ethnic cultural house in Dong Dinh village, Phong Du commune.

At the inspection, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province and Tien Yen district reported on the progress of the assigned tasks such as: Location of tree planting; environmental sanitation work around the area where the Launching Ceremony was held and the tree planting area; preparation of seedlings to ensure quantity and quality according to plan; decoration of the festival; ensuring security and order; propaganda work, arrangement of forces participating in tree planting; traffic organization plan to the tree planting area...

At the inspection session, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested relevant departments, branches and units to review the work and complete the plan to organize the launching ceremony. He requested the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the locality to proactively clean the environment around the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival. Supplement and complete the program scenario closely following Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU dated September 26, 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in resource management, environmental protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, climate change response and ensuring water security in the 2022-2030 period in the whole province. In particular, focusing on the implementation of restoration, reconstruction and afforestation of forests damaged by storm No. 3 (Yagi); Planting large timber trees and indigenous trees with high economic value, focusing on planting ironwood, giổi, and lát forests in places with sufficient conditions by 2025 according to assigned targets, striving to complete assigned forest planting targets in the first quarter of 2025.

Tien Yen district needs to arrange functional forces to guide delegates to the tree planting area; prepare and arrange trees to ensure quality and quantity. At the same time, functional forces need to ensure good security, order and traffic safety during the launching ceremony. Relevant agencies and units continue to proactively speed up the progress of assigned work, ensuring timeliness and compliance with plan.

On the same day, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the progress of emergency repair of works damaged by storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) at Ha Thanh dam, Dong Hai commune and the Atlantic potato growing model in Tien Yen district.
