Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son works in Son La province

On the morning of November 18, comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation visited and worked in Son La province.

Comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister , and the working delegation inspected the progress of the Chieng Sinh-Chieng Ngan road construction project.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and his delegation inspected the production situation, progress of a number of transport projects and the operation of the Public Administration Service Center.

At the DOVECO Son La Center, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated enterprises in investing in technology, expanding raw material areas and building agricultural value chains; and asked the province to closely coordinate to improve processing capacity and expand export markets.

Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Chieng Coi ward.

The working group inspected the progress of the Chieng Sinh-Chieng Ngan route. The 130 billion VND project is being disbursed on schedule.

In Chieng Coi ward, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged efforts in administrative reform and digital transformation and requested to continue perfecting technology infrastructure and improving service quality for people and businesses.

At the working session with the Government delegation, the leaders of the People's Committee of Son La province reported on the situation of production and business, public investment, import and export, infrastructure construction, social housing development, implementation of national target programs and the implementation of the 2-level local government model.

Receiving and working with the delegation of the Deputy Prime Minister, Son La province had comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Dinh Viet, Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee.

Son La province pointed out difficulties and obstacles in planning, urban development, construction management, traffic infrastructure, construction materials, transportation and land use, thereby proposing many recommendations to remove bottlenecks.

To best achieve the socio-economic development goals for 2025, Son La proposed that the Government, the Prime Minister and ministries and branches promptly submit to the National Assembly for approval the investment policy for the National Target Programs for the 2026-2030 period; allocate about VND4,476 billion to upgrade the Hoa Binh-Moc Chau expressway to 4 lanes; and assign the province to be the agency in charge of investing in the Moc Chau-Son La expressway.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, spoke about some contents on the implementation of school construction, highways and the operation of 2-level local government in Son La.

Son La province also proposed transferring some power projects to the State for investment; adding over 570 billion VND for border school projects; directing 4G coverage in 9 villages and soon completing regulations on job positions and public housing policies for commune-level officials.

At the meeting, representatives of central ministries and branches answered and responded to a number of recommendations, proposals and difficulties in the fields that the leaders of the People's Committee of Son La province and departments and branches reported and proposed at the meeting.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Tam, Deputy Minister of Finance, spoke at the working session with Son La province.

Concluding the working session, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the receptive spirit and determination of the Son La Provincial Party Committee in implementing socio-economic development tasks. He asked the province to continue to closely follow the 2025 growth target, maintain stability in people's lives and effectively implement the Central resolutions, especially the 7 key resolutions that have just been issued.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested Son La province to focus on removing bottlenecks in infrastructure, mechanisms and resources; promote potential and advantages to create stronger development momentum, making positive contributions to the Northwest region.

Comrade Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the province needs to maintain the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common interest, and being resolute in directing and operating to best fulfill the set goals, while affirming that the Government and ministries and branches will continue to accompany and support Son La in the development process.

Receiving the direction of the Deputy Prime Minister, Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that he will continue to lead the implementation of socio-economic targets in 2025, striving for 8% growth and ensuring people's lives; at the same time, effectively implementing 7 key resolutions of the Central Committee.

The Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee hopes to continue receiving the attention and support of the Central Government to help the province overcome difficulties, develop synchronous infrastructure, promote potential, and contribute to the development of the Northwest region. Son La commits to take drastic actions, dare to think, dare to do to achieve the highest goals set.
