Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha held an online meeting with provinces and cities to deploy response work to storm No. 13.

At noon on November 6, at the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha - Deputy Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee - chaired an online meeting with provinces and cities on the implementation of response work to storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi).

Reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that to proactively respond to storm No. 13 and post-storm floods, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has activated a scenario to respond to storm level 5 for 16 communes and wards and level 4 for the remaining 42 communes and wards in the eastern part of the province.

Currently, the total number of evacuations is 93,000 households/339,000 people, over 75% and is continuing to be completed before 12:00 on November 6. Currently, all ships have received information about storm No. 13. As of 5:00 on November 6, there were 286 ships/1,602 people operating at sea. Currently, there are no fishing boats operating on the route and in the area affected by storm No. 13. All fishing boats of the province have safely anchored on the islands of Truong Sa archipelago. The Provincial People's Committee banned the sea from 5:00 p.m. on November 5 until the last news about the storm.

Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee has established the Provincial Forward Command Center and assigned comrades in the Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Command, and the Provincial Police to specific locations: 11 teams in the East of the province, 2 teams in the West of the province. 100% of the military personnel have been on duty since the night of November 5.

The provincial armed forces were mobilized to be on duty in key areas with high risks, nearly 8,770 people. The provincial Military Command alone mobilized 7,797 comrades; 92 vehicles of all kinds (cars, armored vehicles, boats); mobilized 5 UAVs to organize mobile deployments in the areas and at the provincial regular Command Center.
