On the morning of June 7, in Binh Dinh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh chaired a working session with leaders of central ministries, branches and localities, including Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Phu Yen, to review the implementation of key transport projects in the South Central region.
This working session is part of the inspection program of Inspection Team No. 1 of the Prime Minister , with the goal of speeding up construction progress, completing important expressway sections, ensuring the target of 3,000 km of expressway by 2025.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Finance, the People's Committees of provinces and cities, along with investors and construction units who actively coordinated, closely followed progress and completed many tasks according to plan.
However, the Deputy Prime Minister also frankly pointed out the shortcomings that need to be urgently overcome. Notably, there are still 7 unfinished tasks, including one that is overdue. Specifically, Quang Ngai province has not completed the site clearance work, still stuck at 2 locations of the bridge and the rest stop.

"There is not much time left from now until the end of 2025, while the remaining workload is huge, especially the construction part. Ministries, branches and localities need to focus on removing difficulties and concentrating on construction to complete on schedule," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Construction on weekends and holidays
According to the report of the Ministry of Construction, 4 expressway projects are being implemented including: Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh. The projects are basically meeting the progress schedule, and can complete the sections according to the planned milestones.
Of which, by August 19, about 86.47 km/231.27 km will be technically opened to traffic; by September 30, about 114.7/144.8 km is expected to be opened to traffic. The remaining 30.1 km section within the scope of Tunnel No. 3 of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon project will be opened to traffic on December 31.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that with the efforts of ministries, branches, localities, investors, contractors, etc., up to now, all four projects have basically completed many important items.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested ministries, functional branches, localities where the projects pass through, contractors and construction units to overcome difficulties and obstacles; continue to make efforts, concentrate all efforts, mobilize all resources, equipment, machinery, and apply modern technical solutions to complete the set goals for the projects.
According to the report, the remaining land clearance volume is not much. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister requested localities to urgently and resolutely resolve the existing land clearance problems.
"Investors and contractors continue to increase human resources, equipment, and modern machinery, organize construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams, and work on holidays to complete projects as committed. Clearly define goals to focus on directing and operating, have appropriate solutions to compensate for the slow workload, and have backup plans in case unfavorable weather conditions may affect the progress of project implementation," Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized.
