Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that the National Unity Day is an occasion to honor the tradition of solidarity and brotherhood, contributing to strengthening faith and aspirations for building a prosperous, civilized, and happy country. This year's event is particularly significant as the entire Party, people, and army have successfully organized important events such as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification; the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd; and are striving to achieve the goals and targets of the 13th National Congress of the Party, looking forward to the 14th National Congress and the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated Quang Tri province's spirit of international solidarity, demonstrated by its support of over 29 billion VND to help the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba relations; and its timely implementation of disaster relief activities both within and outside the province, clearly showing the spirit of "mutual assistance and compassion". These results are vivid evidence of the "Self-governing residential area - solidarity - prosperity - happiness" model, and affirm the important role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in gathering and promoting the strength of national unity.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung commended and congratulated the achievements of the officials and people of Liem Cong Tay village. Quoting President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching: "Unity, unity, great unity. Success, success, great success," the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Party Committee, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Tri province, and the people would continue to promote the spirit of unity and creative emulation; effectively mobilize and utilize social resources; care for the lives of the poor, policy beneficiary families, people with difficult circumstances, and vulnerable groups; and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
In 2025, Liem Cong Tay village will implement many major policies of the Party and State, including the task of merging the two-tiered local government. The work of building new rural areas, ensuring social security, and caring for the lives of the people will continue to receive attention. Building upon the traditions of "iron ramparts, flower ramparts," "diamond land," and "heroic fire lines," Liem Cong Tay village continues to affirm its spirit of unity in construction and development. The "All People Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign has been implemented comprehensively, yielding many positive results. The local economy has grown; industries and services have expanded; rural infrastructure has been improved; village roads and alleys have been upgraded; 100% of households have achieved the title of "Cultural Family"; and the village maintains the title of "Cultural Village." The poverty rate has decreased from 2.66% to 1.6%. Cultural, sports, festival, wedding, and funeral activities are organized in a civilized and economical manner. At the festival, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented flowers and extended his congratulations to the officials and people of Liem Cong Tay village. On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister, along with leaders from central and provincial departments and agencies, presented gifts to poor households, families receiving preferential treatment, and households with difficult circumstances in the village.
