The People's Committee of the city has just issued a document requesting city departments, agencies, associations, and organizations, as well as the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones, to strengthen prevention and control of seasonal influenza, respiratory syncytial virus disease, and hand, foot, and mouth disease.

Specifically, the City People's Committee requests that agencies, units, localities, associations, and organizations in the city continue to closely coordinate with the health sector and local authorities to strengthen propaganda and mobilize officials, civil servants, employees, and the community to strictly implement disease prevention and control measures; monitor personal health, and when there are suspected symptoms of infectious diseases, go to medical facilities for examination, consultation, and appropriate treatment; and proactively prevent disease in crowded places and workplaces.

The Department of Health directs and guides the entire sector to implement comprehensive disease prevention and control measures; strengthens surveillance, early detection of cases, and thorough handling of outbreaks to prevent widespread transmission; proactively coordinates with the Institutes of Hygiene and Epidemiology and the Pasteur Institute to assess risks and propose appropriate response measures; strengthens treatment and emergency care capacity, closely monitors the progression of cases, and promptly conducts consultations and referrals to appropriate facilities for cases showing signs of worsening condition, children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with underlying medical conditions.
