Innovate teaching methods.
To inspire students, in the Vietnamese language subject group session for 2nd grade with the theme "Writing a paragraph describing a toy," Ms. Le Thi Kim Thanh, a teacher at Hung Vuong Primary School (Hai Chau ward), skillfully implemented mind maps to help students identify ideas, choose appropriate vocabulary, and construct complete and clear paragraphs.
In addition, she also applies artificial intelligence to create vivid and engaging videos, thereby educating students on how to properly care for and maintain their toys. According to Ms. Thanh, the students' enthusiastic response and acceptance during the lesson have inspired and contributed to spreading the spirit of innovation in teaching Vietnamese at the primary school level.
Meanwhile, Le Dinh Chinh Primary School (Hoa Cuong Ward) organized a "I Love Vietnamese" club activity for second-grade students. From secret doors and quick-thinking challenges to a vocabulary supermarket that encourages flexible thinking and young communicators confidently showcasing their writing skills, the activities brought the language to life, creating a creative and exciting playground for the students.

To improve the quality of teaching and learning, and in implementation of Decision No. 999/QD-SGDĐT dated October 1, 2025, of the Da Nang City Department of Education and Training on the establishment of professional clusters for preschool, primary, and secondary education in the city, the five primary school professional clusters recently held their first conference of the 2025-2026 school year.
The clusters agreed on dividing the schools into sub-clusters, electing group leaders, and establishing coordination mechanisms to ensure that professional activities are carried out regularly, practically, and in accordance with the specific conditions of each locality.
This is seen as a solution to narrow the gap in teaching conditions between regions, leverage collective strength, and promote mutual support among schools, aiming to improve the overall quality of education in the city.
Many professional development activities for subject groups at the primary school level have been organized by the clusters. In particular, the Vietnamese language professional development group organized a session on the theme "Improving the quality of teaching creative writing activities in Vietnamese language - 2018 general education program combined with building happy Vietnamese language lessons" in an online format for primary school teachers in clusters 1 and 3.
Teachers were introduced to important thematic content such as: "Improving the quality of teaching creative writing activities in Vietnamese language - 2018 General Education Program linked to building happy Vietnamese language lessons"; "Building happy lessons"; and a video of a demonstration lesson "Finding ideas for a paragraph expressing feelings and emotions about a story" (Vietnamese language, grade 5)...
During these meetings, teachers actively discuss, share experiences, and offer suggestions on methods and forms of organizing the teaching of essay writing in Vietnamese language lessons, aiming for effective and engaging lessons for students.
Sharing expertise, elevating teaching.
According to Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Hang, Deputy Principal of Vo Thi Sau Primary School (Ban Thach Ward), through professional development sessions, school administrators and teachers are able to share practical methods, materials, and suggestions for effectively implementing Vietnamese language teaching, while also spreading the spirit of building happy and meaningful lessons for students. With useful and up-to-date content, the training activities contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning in the city, and at the same time meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational reform in the current context.

Similarly, at Mai Dang Chon Primary School (Ngu Hanh Son ward), the English subject professional team of cluster 1 organized a thematic workshop on applying the "Learning through Play" model in English teaching to improve skills and contribute to the holistic development of primary school students.
Ms. Mai Thi Xuan Thuy, an English teacher at the school, gave a very beneficial demonstration lesson. The lesson was organized according to innovative principles, clearly demonstrating how to integrate the "Learning Through Play" model into teaching practice, creating a lively learning atmosphere and showing the effectiveness of encouraging students to explore knowledge through games, interaction, and experience.
Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Nguyet, Principal of Le Dinh Chinh Primary School (Hoa Cuong Ward) and Head of Professional Cluster No. 5, shared that the cluster comprises 71 schools from 19 communes and wards, spread across urban, midland, and mountainous areas. The cluster held its first conference with the participation of all school principals. Following this, the cluster was divided into two sub-clusters, each with four groups based on inter-commune/ward levels, to facilitate professional sharing and exchange through the organization of in-depth thematic workshops.
The goal of organizing these workshops is to foster cooperation, sharing, interaction, and exchange of professional experience among schools. Each workshop organized by the cluster will be videotaped and sent to the entire cluster for learning purposes. According to Ms. Nguyet, recording the workshops will help schools in mountainous areas, even if they cannot fully participate, to still have learning materials.
The cluster also implements the "Two Schools Progress Together" model, meaning that schools with more favorable conditions will support schools facing difficulties in terms of expertise, materials, resources, electronic lectures, lesson plans, lesson design, professional development activities, etc., so that the schools can help each other develop.
According to representatives from the City Department of Education and Training, through organizing professional activities, teachers continue to strengthen innovative teaching methods and promote active learning activities to improve the quality of teaching and learning throughout the cluster, while also contributing to consolidating professional links between schools in the cluster.
