Interdisciplinary coordination to prevent and combat violence and child sexual abuse

(QBĐT) - This morning, March 15, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the Department ofEducation and Training, the Department of Health and the Provincial Police to organize a signing ceremony for an inter-sectoral coordination program on preventing and combating violence (PCBL) and sexual abuse (XHTD) of children in the province.

The purpose of the coordination program is to enhance responsibility and coordination in leadership, direction and management of departments and branches in the work of child protection and child labor, especially intervention in cases where children need urgent protection; ensure unified direction of departments and branches to improve the effectiveness and quality of coordination and promptly remove difficulties and shortcomings in the practical implementation of this work.

At the ceremony, after discussion, the units agreed on the content of the coordination program, including: Implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on child protection and child abuse prevention and control; communicating, educating, and mobilizing society to raise awareness, responsibility, and skills on child protection and child abuse prevention and control; improving the capacity of cadres and collaborators working on child protection at all levels and sectors.

Representatives of the units signed a cooperation program on preventing and combating violence and child sexual abuse.

The units will also coordinate to receive and process information; support and intervene in cases of children suffering from violence and sexual abuse; intervene in cases where children need urgent protection; inspect and examine the implementation of measures to prevent and combat child violence and sexual abuse; exchange and provide information and data on children suffering from violence and sexual abuse.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Police, the Department of Health , and the Department of Education and Training will direct, guide, inspect, and urge units under their management to implement the assigned tasks in the coordination program.
