Coordinated to eliminate 180 temporary and dilapidated houses in border areas

On June 19, the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard of Son La province held a preliminary review of border work, party work and political work in the first 6 months of 2025.

Over the past 6 months, territorial sovereignty and national border security in the province have continued to be maintained and stabilized. Border protection work has been carried out synchronously, closely following reality, and effectively.

The units strictly maintained combat readiness, organized 199 patrols (including 24 bilateral patrols and 175 unilateral patrols) with a total of more than 1,700 officers, soldiers and people participating.

The reconnaissance force processed 1,060 sources of information, of which 476 were valuable; presided over and coordinated the discovery and arrest of 32 cases with 40 subjects, seized a large amount of drugs and many other exhibits.

Along with national defense tasks, Son La Provincial Border Guard units actively carry out mass mobilization work and strengthen the border rear.

Specifically, the units organized 365 propaganda and mobilization sessions with nearly 44,000 participants.

Notably, the result of the coordination in building 180 houses for people in border areas in the movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".

The Border Guard Command of Son La province awarded Certificates of Merit of the Border Guard Command to collectives and individuals with achievements.

The units are also effectively maintaining 26 "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models in many fields, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people in border areas.

Party building and political work are given comprehensive attention. 17/17 grassroots party organizations in the Son La Provincial Border Guard Party Committee successfully held congresses for the 2025-2030 term.

The dissemination and implementation of directives and resolutions from superiors are carried out seriously; political and ideological education for officers and soldiers is promoted, creating unity of perception and action in performing tasks.

On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Son La province awarded Certificates of Merit of the Border Guard Command to 2 collectives and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate major holidays and in the fight against crime.

On the same day, the Border Guard Command of Son La province launched a peak emulation campaign with the theme "Raise the August red flag - Compete to win 3 first prizes", celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The emulation campaign will take place from July 10 to the end of October 2025.
