On March 12, a source from Tuoi Tre Online reported that Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh issued a decision to impose an administrative penalty on Huu Tho Medical Services Company Limited (Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District).
Previously, on January 30, an inspection team led by the Economic Police Department of Da Nang City Police inspected the Central General Clinic of Huu Tho Medical Services Company Limited.
Through inspection, the authorities discovered that the company had committed illegal acts by not properly implementing one of the contents of the environmental license.
The company also did not collect and store hazardous waste according to regulations; arranged hazardous waste storage areas that did not meet technical requirements; and did not prepare environmental protection reports according to regulations. The company was fined 170 million VND.
The penalty decision also requires Huu Tho Medical Services Company Limited to take measures to remedy the environmental pollution and report the results of the remediation of the violation within one day.
