Phu Ninh currently has 18,311 children (accounting for 19.03% of the population), of which 225 children are in special circumstances and 329 children are at risk of falling into special circumstances.

In recent years, despite many difficulties in life, the district has always considered the protection, care andeducation of children a priority task. Coordinating programs to propagate the Law on Children, forums, competitions, training courses on self-protection skills, etc. have been regularly implemented, contributing to raising awareness for both parents and children.

In the district, the rate of malnourished children, accidents and law violations has decreased significantly; the quality of education continues to improve; the Children's Protection Fund has received more and more contributions from officials, civil servants and people.

For the 2025 Action Month for Children, the district mobilized more than 150 million VND to visit and give gifts to children in special circumstances, disabled children and students overcoming difficulties; at the same time, it called on the Department of Health to support 5 more gifts (1 million VND/gift) and 5 bicycles for poor but studious students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Huu Binh requested all levels, sectors, businesses and the community to join hands to reduce the gap in living conditions and development opportunities between poor children, children with disabilities and other groups of children.

Localities should increase dissemination of laws on child protection and care; strengthen the child protection system, and promptly support cases of violence and abuse. The Youth Union, Women's Union, etc. should coordinate to organize summer activities, teach swimming, equip skills to prevent drowning, injuries, and protect safety in the online environment; review and update the list of children in difficult circumstances to connect resources to help.

On this occasion, Phu Ninh District Children's Support Fund and the District People's Committee presented 20 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) to support children in especially difficult circumstances and 100 gifts to children participating in the launching ceremony.

After the ceremony, Phu Ninh organized communication for children about skills to prevent abuse and school violence.
