Quang Nam Provincial leaders visit and present gifts on International Children's Day June 1

(QNO) - On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, this morning, May 29, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province Nguyen Cong Thanh and his delegation visited and presented gifts to children at the Center for Supporting Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and People with Disabilities in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh visited the health, living and studying conditions of the children at the center; deeply sympathized with the children's disadvantages due to the effects of war, Agent Orange and congenital disabilities.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh also acknowledged and appreciated the silent efforts of the staff of the Center for Supporting Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and People with Disabilities in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh emphasized that the work of caring for and protecting children, especially vulnerable children, has always received special attention from the provincial leaders; he hoped that teachers and staff of the center would continue to promote their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, and devote much love to caring for and educating the children.

At the same time, the Department of Health and related units are requested to closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for the center to effectively perform its task of caring for the subjects and children here.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 17 gifts to children being cared for at the center.
