Krong Jing Commune (M'Drak District) currently has 2,217 women aged 18 and over; of which ethnic minority women account for nearly 76% (mostly Ede ethnic group).
In recent times, the Commune Women's Union has carried out many activities to raise awareness and promote the role of ethnic minority women in preserving, conserving and promoting traditional cultural beauty.
Ms. H'Huong Hwing, President of the Women's Union of Krong Jing commune, said that the Women's Union of the commune has established and maintained a "Safe - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Unique Family" Club in the district, attracting members who are ethnic minority women to set an example in building happy families, preserving costumes, languages and cultural beauty of their ethnic groups.
In addition, currently 8/12 women's associations in the villages have established xoang dance teams, regularly participating in ethnic cultural performances in festivals, holidays, Tet and competitions inside and outside the district. 100% of women's associations in the commune have established labor exchange groups, imbued with the cultural beauty in the life and production of the Ede people, in which each association has 2-3 groups, with 10 or more member families. Every year, the women have supported each other with over 3,000 working days, helping to reduce production labor costs, increase income, and improve the lives of members' families.

With the motto "Each member, woman is an active factor in preserving and continuing the cultural values of the nation", the Commune Women's Union also focuses on promoting the role of female artisans in teaching traditional culture to the younger generation through activities, movements, association work, and exchange activities between units.
Thanks to that, up to now, the Commune Women's Union has built a team of women who can continue to maintain a number of traditional occupations, with 50 women who know how to weave brocade and sew Ede costumes, and 350 women who maintain the profession of making rice wine from traditional ingredients.
Like Ms. H'Ten Byă (in M'Trưng M'Um village), up to now, she has been attached to the traditional wine making profession of the Ede people for more than 30 years. Not only continuing to do the profession, Ms. H'Ten is also willing to teach the young generation in the village how to make yeast, make wine, and cook traditional dishes with the hope that the traditional wine making technique will continue and not be lost.
Or Ms. H'DJuon Nie (in Hoang village) has had a passion for xoang dance since she was very young. To preserve and promote xoang dance melodies of the Ede people, Ms. H'DJuon established a xoang dance team in the village; in conjunction with the Commune Women's Union, she opened xoang dance classes for women who love ethnic culture. Thanks to that, many women have learned and skillfully danced many xoang dances.
