Ninh Hai Women: Joining hands to build advanced new rural areas

In recent times, cadres and women's union members of Ninh Hai district have actively responded and joined hands to build new rural areas (NR) with specific and practical tasks. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of the program to build advanced and exemplary NTM in the area.

With 10,787 members, in order to effectively implement the program of building advanced and exemplary new rural areas, the Women's Union of Ninh Hai district has been proactive, flexible and creative in choosing the content and implementation form suitable to the actual situation of each locality. 100% of the union bases have registered to effectively implement movements, activities and tasks, focusing on registering to undertake environmental sanitation work, planting flowers along traffic routes to ensure a green - clean - beautiful landscape, mobilizing members to donate land, contribute labor and money to build public works. In addition, the Women's Union at all levels in the district has actively promoted propaganda work, mobilizing member families to continue to effectively implement the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", propagating to help women's union members and people clearly understand the purpose and meaning of the program of building advanced new rural areas; Focus on mobilizing female students to promote their internal strength, actively participate in emulation movements; maintain, consolidate and improve the quality of women's models and clubs.

Ms. Doan Thi Ngoc Hanh, President of the Women's Union of Ninh Hai district, said: Implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", the unions at all levels in the district, with specific actions and good practices, have spread throughout the community associated with the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", 9/9 communes and towns have registered with the Party Committee and authorities to carry out 23 activities contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas. At the same time, the union bases have registered and helped the families of the union members to achieve the criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean" and the criteria of "5 yes, 3 clean". As a result, 33/33 households met the criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean" and 49/49 households met the criteria of "5 yes, 3 clean". Establishing a model of "Women's Union of 5 yes, 3 clean" associated with the construction of new rural areas at Hon Thien union, Tan Hai commune with 27 members; 1 club “Building a family of 5 yes, 3 clean” in An Nhon village, Xuan Hai commune with 30 members. The above activities have contributed significantly to the implementation of the program of building advanced new rural areas in the locality.

In addition, the association at all levels is also active in taking care of women's and children's health and family planning, coordinating with sectors and local authorities to implement the Vietnam health program, the health - population target program; proactively and resolutely preventing and fighting epidemics, thereby supporting members and people to prevent epidemics. Many activities of mutual support and helping members' families in difficult circumstances are also of interest to the association at all levels. In 2022, the association at all levels mobilized 7,411 gifts worth more than 1.4 billion VND, 695 kg of rice, 10 bicycles, 1 wheelchair and more than 251 million VND to give to 7,513 poor and disadvantaged women, children with serious illnesses, and families with preferential policies, and built a "Warm House of Love" worth 100 million VND.

In order to create conditions for women to develop their family economy through loans for investment in livestock, farming, and small-scale trading, the Women's Union at all levels actively exploited and stood as a credit guarantee with the Social Policy Bank, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Provincial Development Support Fund to disburse to 4,827 households with a total amount of more than 17.5 billion VND, thereby helping many households escape poverty. At the same time, they coordinated vocational training and introduced jobs for 3,427 workers, opened 19 vocational training classes for rural workers with 538 students. Through their efforts and active implementation of the NTM criteria, the Women's Union at all levels in Ninh Hai district has been making an important contribution to changing the face of the countryside, working with the Party Committee, government, and people to effectively implement the program of building advanced NTM in the area.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Women's Union of Ninh Hai district will continue to direct all levels of the union to promote propaganda and mobilize members to effectively implement the program of building advanced and exemplary new rural areas associated with the emulation movements of the Union, creating positive changes in the awareness of cadres and members, contributing with local Party committees and authorities to build a rich and beautiful homeland.
