Women of Vinh Hung commune join hands to build new countryside

Women's Union members of Vinh Hung commune (Vinh Loc) support families in difficult circumstances to build houses.

Immediately after the Politburo issued Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Party committees at all levels thoroughly grasped and implemented it. The Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Vinh Hung commune identified specific contents and tasks in studying and following Uncle Ho. From there, the union developed an implementation plan and directed branches to promote propaganda and dissemination to each cadre, member and woman about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style... 8 branches with 841 women's union members registered to follow along with the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families".

From the core contents of the two campaigns "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" and "Training the moral qualities of self-confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility", the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Vinh Hung commune has developed a plan, thoroughly implemented and directed the branches to develop specific, practical plans, suitable to the situation of the branch in particular and the whole commune in general. By being creative, the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of the commune has concretized it in accordance with the operational situation, contributing to arousing the spirit of emulation among the sisters to actively strive, practice, and excel in studying, working and participating in the key tasks of the union. Many models have been maintained and replicated, creating a spreading effect in the community.

One of the highlights of the Women's Union of Vinh Hung commune in studying and following Uncle Ho is the "Clean house, beautiful garden" movement associated with the "5 no, 3 clean" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. With more than 100 member households participating, members were informed about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; the emulation movement of the Women's Union of Vinh Hung commune joined hands to build advanced new rural areas. In each meeting, the contents of "clean house" associated with personal hygiene, "clean kitchen" associated with food hygiene and safety, environmental hygiene, health care for family members, production development, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the locality... were conveyed to all members in various forms. Monthly and quarterly, commune officials regularly go down to the village to guide women in repairing and decorating their houses, arranging household items neatly, cleaning village roads and alleys, creating a clean and beautiful landscape environment.

Participating in building the model "Clean house - beautiful garden", members have voluntarily complied, cleaned their houses neatly and cleanly, each family has a clean vegetable garden, providing enough green vegetables for daily meals. Members are committed to ensuring food safety, growing safe vegetables, not letting livestock roam freely, building cages for livestock and poultry far from residential areas... Up to now, the Executive Committee of the Association has assessed, recognized and installed 19 signs for households that meet the conditions of the model "Clean house - beautiful garden".

Ms. Trinh Thi Tinh, President of the Women's Union of Vinh Hung commune, said that the greatest effect of the model is that female members have become more aware of environmental protection, voluntarily digging garbage pits, building hygienic toilets, ensuring health as well as living environment for the community. The practicality and effectiveness of the "Clean house - beautiful garden" model is that there are committed implementation criteria related to advanced new rural construction criteria, such as: environmental criteria, food safety; employment criteria, average income, poor households, security and order criteria, so when deployed at the grassroots level, the Party Committee and authorities of the villages pay attention to directing and focusing on effective implementation.

With the model of planting flowers to replace weeds, after a short time of launching, 100% of the main roads of villages and communes have been cleared, cleaned and replaced with flowers grown and cared for by women. Every Sunday afternoon, women gather to weed, water flowers and clean village roads and alleys. Up to now, the women's associations in the commune have planted 15km of flowers on inter-village roads; 100% of alleys and alleys have been planted with roadside flowers to replace weeds, creating a clean and beautiful landscape, contributing to the renewal of the rural appearance.

With good, practical and suitable methods for members, the Women's Union of Vinh Hung commune has created positive changes in awareness, action and raised the responsibility of each cadre and member in building advanced new rural areas in the locality.
