A flight from the capital Almaty - Kazakhstan landed at Phu Quoc International Airport on the morning of October 23, bringing 210 Kazakhstani tourists to explore the pearl island. The event marked the restoration of the Almaty - Phu Quoc flight route after a 1-year hiatus.
Mr. Doan Van Tien, Vice Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee, presented flowers to welcome tourists on the flight on the afternoon of October 25.
Then, on October 24 and 25, two more flights transiting in Taraz brought 427 Russian tourists to Phu Quoc. These were the first flights to reconnect the route to welcome Eastern European tourists to Phu Quoc in over a year.

Joining the delegation welcoming tourists on an international flight to Phu Quoc on the afternoon of October 25, Ms. Quang Xuan Lua, Director of the Kien Giang Province Tourism Trade Investment Promotion Center, said that recently the center has been working with businesses to promote in foreign markets.
According to Ms. Lua, businesses and airlines have developed tourism stimulus programs, connecting airports and service providers to create all-inclusive tourism packages (airfares, accommodation services, etc.) so that tourists can rest assured about service prices. The center has also called on service providers to renew their products, creating a good image in the hearts of tourists when coming to Phu Quoc.
On the local side, Mr. Huynh Quang Hung, Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee, said that the number of tourists coming to Phu Quoc in recent times has not met expectations. In this situation, local leaders have directed relevant agencies and businesses to focus on improving service quality, promoting communication and promotion, and strengthening control of service prices...
"Businesses have many policies to reduce service prices, Phu Quoc also has a free electric bus system to take visitors from the airport to tourist areas," Mr. Hung said, adding that in early November, Phu Quoc will receive an average of 10 international flights per day.
